IN MEMORIAM | Shirley McRoberts

When I was about 10, my family moved to a house on Rebecca Street. We would soon discover that the families living on either side of us were related. There were also two other families on the street also related to this group, it was very unique.

The Campbell family lived on one side of us. The children were Kenzie, Karen, Kelly & Kirby. Their relatives on the other side of our house were the McRoberts. Kim, Kenzie & Kelly were the kids. It's strange how my sister Kim and myself  (Ken) fit right in with all the K names on the street.

I remember Mrs. McRoberts. She was very pleasant and there were always great aromas coming from her kitchen and there were tiny little cartoon characters (I think perhaps the Flintstones) sitting on the kitchen window sill...Kelly, Kim, let me know if I have this wrong.

To the McRobert family, extended family and friends I send you my deepest sympathy on your loss.
